Escape with Crocodile Bay Resort in Costa Rica
What’s in a vacation? The dictionary equates it to an escape, a getaway, a breather, or a rest. Here at Crocodile Bay in Costa Rica, we know your vacation time is valuable in more ways than one.
Over the last 20 years, Crocodile Bay has evolved from a world-class fishing resort to a premier activity-based destination. As we say, you may wish to come for the fishing, but you’ll stay for the opportunity to share in all the colors of the Osa Peninsula.
In Costa Rica, no other resort offers such a complete range of adventures both on the water and in the rainforest. Each unforgettable experience is carefully planned and overseen by Dennis Atencio, Director of Crocodile Bay Expeditions. Dennis is certified within the Osa Peninsula Conservation Area (ACOSA) by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute as an Ecological Guide. He and his full-time staff will safely bring you as close to nature as you’re willing to get. Expeditions have been expertly crafted within four distinct habitats with all skill levels in mind. From white-knuckle thrills to awe-inspiring sightseeing, there’s so much to explore with Crocodile Bay.
Rainforest Expeditions – Corcovado National Park, Matapalo Rainforest, Jungle Night Walk, Primate Tour, Reptiles & Amphibians Tour
Osa Peninsula Expeditions – Bird Watching, Chocolate Farm, Horseback Riding, Canopy Zip line, Butterfly Farm, Gold Panning, Cross-country Biking
Golfo Dulce Expeditions – Snorkeling, Paddle Boarding, Mangrove & Sunset Kayaking, Whale Watching, Dolphin & Turtle Watching, Scuba Diving, Osa Wildlife Sanctuary
Pacific Ocean Expeditions – Surfing Pavones, Surfing Matapalo, Whale Watching
More and more, our guests enjoy the colors of the Osa Peninsula as we explore all the magic that surrounds us. With our nearly 30 eco-tours, at Crocodile Bay there is something for everyone. We are the only resort on the Osa Peninsula that gives our guests direct access to the Golfo Dulce, a tropical fjord, through our fleet of Strike Tower boats and Boston Whalers…our boats, your desires.
As for our land-based activities, Crocodile Bay has also added to its fleet of rainforest vehicles. Our new Mercedes Benz 4×4 can handle the rugged Osa Peninsula, and it makes the ride through the rainforest a treat to experience. We also purchased a new Mitsubishi L200 double cab 4×4 for tours as well as a chase vehicle for our new photography tours. Photographers are flocking to Crocodile Bay to capture the diversity that Dennis and his team are more than happy to share. Our entire eco-tour team grew up on the Osa Peninsula, and along with their unique insight into nature, they have many colorful stories to tell.
Experience a vacation with us where you can escape to nature, breathe the fresh tropical air, and choose from our colorful array of eco-tours that will rejuvenate the soul.
